Posters
The ICCBSS committee solicits proposals for posters. A poster provides a
means for contributors to discuss their emerging, non-commercial thrusts in an
informal setting with conference attendees. The poster session, held during the
conference reception, is aimed at sharing ideas that are being formulated or
work in progress and provides an opportunity for contributors to gather feedback
from the community. The poster titles and presenters, with their affiliations,
of accepted posters will be included in the conference proceedings.
The following information is provided to help you in poster submission and conference preparation.
- Poster preparation
- Proposals for posters consist of an abstract (expected length is one page) describing the topic of the poster and must include a title, presenter's name and affiliation.
- Submitted proposals must be written in English using either MS Word or pdf format.
- Proposals for posters must be submitted electronically via the ICCBSS conference submission Website at witanweb.ca/iccbss2007/ by 15 September 2006.
- Poster acceptance
- Proposals will be evaluated by the Poster Chair based on the novelty of presented ideas and relevance to conference topics.
- Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection by e-mail and will be provided with the reviewer comments by 1 October 2006.
- Final poster materials
- Dimension of the posters are 48 in. width and 40 in. height (120 cm width, 100 cm height).
- Your poster materials should be educationally focused - sales pitches are not appropriate.
- Make sure you follow your submitted abstract and keep your audience in mind when creating your poster.
- Poster authors must take care of printing the poster and bring it to the conference for display.
- Poster boards and appropriate pins for sticking the poster into the board will be provided during the conference.
NOTE: It is our intent to post presentations and conference summaries on the ICCBSS Web site. Submission of final posters abstracts will be considered as permission to the organizers to print and distribute them at the conference, enclose them in the Conference CD, and post the materials on the conference Web site.
