Paul Everitt
Paul Everitt is the founder and Product Leader of Zope Europe Association (ZEA), where he defines strategy, offerings, and marketing. He is board member of OSCOM (the international association for Open Source Content Management), executive director of the Plone Foundation, and president of Zope UK, which he co-founded in 1993 as Digital Creations. As Vice President of products, CEO, and then Chief Strategy Officer, he helped the transition of Zope from a proprietary application server to a leading open source solution, which involved three rounds of venture capital in excess of $14M. Paul participates actively in international conferences promoting open source and content management systems, through keynote presentations and publicity. Paul also served as an officer in the U.S. Navy, where he launched www.navy.mil in 1993.
Dewayne E. Perry
Professor Dewayne E. Perry is the Motorola Regents Chair of Software Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. After spending the first half of his computing career as a professional programmer, he served 16 years in software engineering research at Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, NJ. His appointment at UT Austin began January 2000. He has been Co-Editor in Chief of Wiley's Software Process: Improvement & Practice; former associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering; and a member of ACM SIGSOFT and IEEE Computer Society. He has served as organizing chair, program chair and program committee member for various software engineering conferences.
