Program Announcement

ICCBSS is for the first time extending the spectrum of the conference from COTS to Web-services and Open Source in order to address current trends in Europe, bringing the possibility for researchers, vendors and users to join in the same place to exchange ideas about current best practices and future trends in the COTS business market.

Join us at the ICCBSS conference for a full program of keynotes, refereed papers, experience reports and panel discussions to address these timely issues. Workshops and tutorials will give beginners and veterans an opportunity to investigate selected topics in greater depth.

Call for Participation

The conference theme for ICCBSS 2005, "Build and Conquer", emphasizes the importance of relying on the use of existing components available in the market instead of developing all functionalities oneself. Therefore, one key topic will be the development of open platforms to facilitate the adoption of third parties' components, and to extend the business contributions of the small COTS vendors.

Also for the first time, the ICCBSS 2005 will offer a two-day course prior to the conference, in which novices and not so novices will have the opportunity to learn about the key issues regarding the evaluation, acquisition, testing, integration, management, and legalities of using commercial components (COTS).
