PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

The following information is provided to help you in preparing for the conference.

  1. Your presentation should fit within a 40 minute time period, including questions.
    • Make sure you follow your submitted abstract and keep your audience in mind when developing your presentation.
    • Your presentation should be educationally focused - sales pitches are not appropriate.
    • Presentations should not include proprietary materials that cannot be distributed to the general public.
    • Please reserve 10 minutes before your presentation is finished for an audience question and answer session.
  2. Presentations will be pre-loaded for display at the conference. Please develop your presentation in English using PowerPoint 98 or above
    • Use Times, Times New Roman, Arial, or Helvetica fonts.
    • Use slide font sizes of 18 points or greater for the body text of the slides to enhance attendee viewing.
    • To focus your audience on what you have to say, do not exceed 20 slides.
    • Avoid the use of embedded animation and sound, including video clips, to minimize the chances of incompatibilities.
  3. Submit your presentation electronically via Witan Web on the ICCBSS website as specified below. Confirmation that we can read each presentation will be provided by email.
    • Experience Presentations should be submitted no later than 24 October 2003.
    • Presentations charts for accepted Refereed Papers should be submitted no earlier than 1 November 2003 and no later than 19 December 2003.
  4. It is our intent to post presentations and conference summaries on the ICCBSS website. Submission of final accepted abstracts and presentation slides will be considered as permission to the organizers to print, and distribute them at the conference and permission to post the materials on the conference website
