Refereed Papers
The ICCBSS Program Committee solicits papers that describe research and innovative approaches to solving COTS-based software systems problems and papers that present case studies that show the current state of the practice in developing or maintaining COTS-based software systems. Papers will be evaluated by the Program Committee on the basis of originality, importance of contribution, and quality of the written and graphic presentation. Accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings, which will be published in the Springer-Verlag Lecture Notes in Computer Science series.

Authors of accepted papers will be expected to present their papers at the conference. To further encourage paper submissions, a Best Paper Award will be formally presented during the conference.

Papers must be submitted electronically through WitanWeb, our conference submission tool, by 11 July 2003, should not exceed ten (10) pages in length, must be written in English, must be previously unpublished, and conform to the the Springer-Verlag author's instructions and MS Word document template. Submitted papers must be in either MS Word or pdf formatted files.

Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection and will be provided reviewer comments by approximately 12 September 2003. Final manuscripts for accepted papers and signed copyright release forms from their authors must be submitted by 24 October 2003.

Final presentation materials must be submitted by 19 December 2003 to be reproduced as handouts and be preloaded for presentation at the conference. Submission of final accepted abstracts and presentation slides will be considered as permission to the organizers to print, and distribute them at the conference and permission to post the materials on the conference website.
