Joseph M. Veoni has been with the Center for Advanced Aviation System Development (CAASD) since the mid-1980s, supporting various security and network/system management projects. He is the first line manager for CAASD's Information Security efforts. He is currently supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in modernizing the National Airspace System (NAS) Information Systems Security (ISS). His efforts have included working with the government in applying Protection Profiles to large-scale Information Technology (IT) acquisitions, performing risk analysis and mitigation planning for some of the FAA's major IT acquisition programs, such as the En Route Automation Modernization (ERAM), and helping the FAA establish Agency-wide ISS capabilities such as secure wide-area network services. Mr. Veoni graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a degree in computer science and earned an M.S. in Technology of Management/Computer Systems from American University.
