Marco Torchiano is an assistant professor at Politecnico di Torino, Italy; he has been research fellow at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, (NTNU), Norway. He received an MSc and a PhD in Computer Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino. His research interests include component-based software engineering, COTS-based development, software architecture, maintenance, design patterns, and agile methodologies. He participated in several international research projects. He is a member of the IEEE Computer Society.
