Barbara S. Simmons graduated from Ohio State University in 1980 with a B.S. degree in Secondary Education. She began her career at Kennedy Space Center (KSC), working in Facility O&M, Logistics, and Ground Operations organizations for Boeing Services and Lockheed Space Operations. In 1991, Barbara was assigned the function of the Office of Primary Responsibility for the Integrated Operations System. Barabara also served in the IT Department. After 19 years at KSC, Barbara left to work for Lockheed Martin Technical Operations, implementing an Enterprise Asset Management application for NASA’s Consolidated Space Operations Contract.
