Suzanne Garcia is in her second sojourn as a senior member of the technical staff of Carnegie Mellon University's Software Engineering Institute (SEI). After 12 years of assignments at Lockheed Missiles and Space in software technology transition and improvement, she spent 5 years working on Capability Maturity Models at the SEI, followed by a “commercial break”, working for 3 years at an Irish software development company, aimware, Inc. Her current SEI assignment is focused on researching technology transition practices, in particular to support transition of SEI technologies into the software engineering community.
