Moving forward with the COTS marketplace

The success of ICCBSS 2002 in February confirms the importance of this forum. So we are looking forward to ICCBSS 2003 to continue what was started in Orlando.

Join us in Ottawa, Canada for the second annual International Conference on COTS-Based Software Systems. ICCBSS 2003 will provide an expanded program of tutorials, presented papers, experience presentations, poster session, and focused panel discussions.

Attendee participation is what makes any conference a success so plan to meet us there.

What are the goals of the conference?

Many researchers and practitioners throughout the world are working on COTS software issues. The goal of ICCBSS remains the same: to provide these researchers and practitioners a forum for posing their questions and describing their results, to offer a venue for face-to-face interaction and sharing of knowledge, and to provide all participants access to state-of-the-art techniques and research results.

Join us at ICCBSS to exchange ideas about current best practices and promising research directions.

Using COTS software components isn't a shortcut for building the same old software systems in the same old way.

It's a whole new approach that involves multiple paths and multiple solutions that are vital to building and sustaining industry and government systems. Using COTS software helps reduce development and maintenance costs and matches the pace of technological advances, but it creates new pressures.

It'll lead us down multiple paths, to find multiple solutions.

ICCBSS is the first annual conference that focuses on the challenges of creating and maintaining COTS-based software systems.
